RAMAYANA REVELATION DAY 2
Maharaj Bharat: An epitome of true love and surrender.
# Lord Rama is Maryada Purushottam and Bharat Maharaj on the other hand an ocean of love. Bharat Maharaj was no less in character and integrity. On failing to convince Rama to return to Ayodhya, Bharat Maharaj realized and epitomized the bhava of love.
# Bharat ji's prayers: “I do not want wealth, nor righteousness, nor the fulfillment of my desires. I do not even want liberation. The only boon I ask is that in life and after life I have pure love for the lotus feet of Shri Rama.” In his devotion to the Lord he wanted nothing, not even liberation. He did not care whether Shri Rama loved him or not. As long as he loved Shri Rama, his life’s purpose was fulfilled.
# If we love someone what matters more is what makes that person happy. Adhering to this he illuminated the service bhava i.e. his ultimate goal was to please the Lord. He simply wanted to serve on behalf of his brother Rama and accepted an austere life to match his brother’s. Thus he served as a representative of Lord Rama, by keeping the Paduka’s on the throne.
**MORAL: Unconditional loving service to the Lord, is the very purpose of our life.
