๐Ÿ˜ŠReal Preaching - 9 Times wrong connection ☎

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐ŸผA lady worked as a telephone operator in a busy office. Hundreds of calls- local and long distance- went out through her switchboard everyday.
๐Ÿ‘จ๐ŸปOne day, a senior executive in the company asked her to connect him to a long distance number. By mistake, she got the wrong number.
๐Ÿ‘จ๐ŸปThe officer called her up, "Madam, you have got me the wrong connection. Could you please try the number again?"
๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผ"I'm so sorry sir," said the operator. "I'll get the number for you right-away!"
☎As ill-luck would have it, she got a wrong number yet again. Once more, the man called her up and asked for the connection to be made, for it had to do with an important contract that he had to obtain that very day.
8⃣Believe it or not, for eight times repeatedly, the operator got the wrong number. At last, the man said to her politely, "Madam, I earnestly request you to dial the number with all your concentration. It is vital that I get through to this number today!"
๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐ŸฝEmbarrassed and distressed, the operator tried the number once again, and got through finally.
๐Ÿ‘๐ŸปLater that day, she felt obliged to call the executive and apologize for her mistake. As it happened, she had been under considerable stress that day. Her father had been admitted to the ICU that morning. Explaining the facts to him, she said, "Your patience was amazing! Not once, not twice, but eight times I got you the wrong connection- too much to take from any telephone operator! And yet, not a word of anger or reproach came from you! How can I thank you for this unfailing courtesy?"
๐Ÿ‘จ๐ŸปThe man replied: "Thus have I learnt to from my Guru and Teacher that however strong the provocation, I must never speak rudely to another. The tongue must never lose its sweetness."
๐Ÿ˜ฎAmazed, the operator asked: "May I know the name of your Guru".
๐ŸŒปSrila Prabhupada๐ŸŒปThe man mentioned the name of the Guru and added: "He happens to be in the town and is delivering a lecture this evening.' Would you care to listen to him?"
๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป"Gladly," answered the operator. And in due course, ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผshe too, became a disciple of the Master "Srila Prabhupada"

The cockroach theory for self development

A beautiful speech by Sundar Pichai - an IIT-MIT Alumnus and Global Head Google Chrome:
The cockroach theory for self development๐Ÿ‘

At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and  sat on a lady.
She started screaming out of fear.
With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.
Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.
The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but ...it landed on another lady in the group.
Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.
The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.
In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.
The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt.
When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.
Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach  responsible for their histrionic behavior?
If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?
He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.
It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies.
I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.
It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.
More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.
Lessons learnt from the story:
I understood, I should not react in life.
I should always respond.
The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.
Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.
A beautiful way to understand............LIFE.
Person who is HAPPY is not because Everything is RIGHT in his Life..
He is HAPPY because his Attitude towards Everything in his Life is Right..!!,,,,,,,

*Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar*

Brilliant article, just couldn't resist sharing..

*Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar*

I was waiting in line for a ride at the airport in Dubai. When a cab pulled up, the first thing I noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the back passenger door for me.

He handed me a laminated card and said: 'I'm Abdul, your driver. While I'm loading your bags in the trunk I'd like you to read my mission statement.'

Taken aback, I read the card. It said: Abdul's Mission Statement:
To get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest way possible in a friendly environment.

This blew me away. Especially when I noticed that the inside of the cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!

As he slid behind the wheel, Abdul said, 'Would you like a cup of coffee? I have a thermos of regular and one of decaf.'

I said jokingly, 'No, I'd prefer a soft drink.'

Abdul smiled and said, 'No problem. I have a cooler up front with regular and Diet Coke, lassi, water and orange juice.'

Almost stuttering, I said, 'I'll take a Lassi.'

Handing me my drink, Abdul said, 'If you'd like something to read, I have The NST , Star and Sun Today.'

As they were pulling away, Abdul handed me another laminated card, 'These are the stations I get and the music they play, if you'd like to listen to the radio.'

And as if that weren't enough, Abdul told me that he had the air conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for me.

Then he advised me of the best route to my destination for that time of day. He also let me know that he'd be happy to chat and tell me about some of the sights or, if I preferred, to leave me with my own thoughts.

'Tell me, Abdul ,' I was amazed and asked him, 'have you always served customers like this?'

Abdul smiled into the rear view mirror. "No, not always. In fact, it's only been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard about POWER OF CHOICE one day."

Power of choice is that you can be a duck or an eagle.

'If you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you'll rarely disappoint yourself. Stop complaining!'

'Don't be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd.'

'That hit me. really hard' said Abdul.

'It is about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some changes, slowly ... a few at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.'

'I take it that it has paid off for you,' I said.

'It sure has,' Abdul replied. 'My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income from the previous year. This year I'll probably quadruple it. My customers call me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on it.'

Abdul made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking like a duck and start soaring like an eagle.

Start becoming an eagle today ... one small step every week..next week... And next...And....

A great Thought..

"You don't die if you fall in water, you die only if you don't swim.

Thats the Real Meaning of Life.

Improve yourself and your skills in a different way.
Be an eagle. .not a Duck.

Ramayana - Happy RamaNavami

The Interpretation of *Ramayana*
As a *Philosophy of Life*..
‘ *Ra* ’ means *light*, ‘ *Ma* ’ means *within me*, *in my heart*.
So,
*Rama* means the *Light Within Me*..
*Rama* was born to *Dasharath & Kousalya*.
*Dasharath* means ‘ *Ten Chariots* ’..
The ten chariots symbolize the *five sense organs*( *Gnanendriya* ) & *five organs of action*( *Karmendriya* ) ..
*Kousalya* means ‘ *Skill* ’..
*The skillful rider of the ten chariots can give birth to Ram*..
When the ten chariots are used skillfully,
*Radiance* is born within..
*Rama* was born in *Ayodhya*.
*Ayodhya* means ‘ *a place where no war can happen* ’..
When There Is No Conflict In Our Mind, Then The Radiance Can Dawn..
The *Ramayana* is not just a story which happened long ago..
It has a *philosophical*, *spiritual significance* and a *deep truth* in it..
It is said that the *Ramayana is happening in our Own Body*.
Our *Soul* is *Rama*,
Our *Mind* is *Sita*,
Our *Breath* or *Life-Force* ( *Prana*) is *Hanuman*,
Our *Awareness* is *Laxmana* and
Our *Ego* is *Ravana*..
When the *Mind* (Sita),is stolen by the *Ego* (Ravana), then the *Soul* (Rama) gets *Restless*..
Now the *SOUL* (Rama) cannot reach the *Mind* (Sita) on its own..
It has to take the help of the *Breath – the Prana* (Hanuman) by Being In *Awareness*(Laxmana)
With the help of the *Prana* (Hanuman), & *Awareness*(Laxmana),
The *Mind* (Sita) got reunited with The *Soul* (Rama) and The *Ego* (Ravana) *died/ vanished*..
*In reality Ramayana is an eternal phenomenon happening all the time*..
