 Two frogs see proof of God

Prabhupada’s eyes were closed as he leaned back in a relaxed position, and he started speaking about Mayavada philosophy. He explained how philosophers were saying, “I am God, you are God, we are all God.” Then Prabhupada would say, “This is going on.” Every time he would state something that was false or erroneous, he would then say, “This is going on.” Eventually he got to the story about two frogs who had heard that there was a God, and they wanted to see proof of God.

There was a stick nearby and they started jumping up and down on the stick, and they said, “This is not God, it doesn’t even respond.”

Then they jumped up on a stone, and the stone also didn’t respond, so they said, “How can this be God?” Then a crane appeared.

At this point in the story Prabhupada started acting out the part of the crane, using his arm as the long legs of the bird and his hand represented the bird’s long neck and head.

Prabhupada’s eyes got really big and with a hilarious expression on his face, he made a gesture with his hand, looking around at both frogs he said, “Then the crane ate one frog and then he ate the other frog.” I was sitting there cross-legged along with Aravinda and Shyamasundar, all of us listening very intently at what appeared to be a very serious philosophical

discussion.

Then when Prabhupada made the gesture with his hand eating the frogs, it was so funny that I rolled over backwards with my legs up in the air laughing uncontrollably.

Prabhupada was also laughing but he was laughing at me along with my two god-brothers.

HDG on Child care

Srila Prabhupada told me so many things about how to treat children. Vedic ways, Vaisnava ways to treat children, which is totally opposite of our culture. A child should never be left to cry. Immediately pick him up.

Never to say “No” to a child. Then he will feel very confident later.

After bathing a baby, wrap him firmly and fully in cloth up to the neck, including the arms. Then he will sleep very well. For babies, plenty of sleep is needed as much as food and drink so that they can grow properly.

If a child has something in his hand that you don’t want him to have and you want to take it away, the way that he will not cry and not act contrarily, is that in the other hand you show him something and you give him. So then you will easily take that thing. He will drop it by himself and forget about it.

Academics should never be given to a child before seven years old. Otherwise he will be damaged and later his brain will not be properly fit.

He should play a lot.

If a boy is very intelligent, he can be very naughty. It’s also a sign of

intelligence.

Children should have toys, should have cars. Then he was telling about the story of his guns. He said, “If he has toys to play with, then later he will not have so much desire for big cars, and all this.”

About boys, Srila Prabhupada said, “A mother should feed as long as she can.” He gave the example that Krsna was being fed by His mother up to seven years old.

He said, “If a boy takes milk from the breast of his mother for a long time,

then later he will not be so attracted to the breasts of women.”

After birth, for one month only see very close family. Only the father can take the baby. Even other family members cannot. And never go out before minimum one month, so that they don’t get bacteria and all that from outside. No one should touch the baby.

Never give newborns yogurt, because it is very cold.

If you are cooking, even for the Deities, and the child is coming in the kitchen, and he wants to grab something — he is hungry — you have to give him immediately, even if it’s not offered.

Very important feeding the child. And, “Never, never beat him.”

If girls cry in the house, Laksmi will leave.

Girls should never be married to a man to whom she is not at all attracted. This is a big crime.

పరనిందా - మహా పాపం para Ninda - Mahaa Paapam

 ఒక రాజ్యంలో   రాజుగారు   చాలా  మంచి వాడు . ఆయన  ప్రతి  రోజూ  తన రాజ్యం గుండా వెళ్లే పేద  బాటసారులకు  ప్రత్యేక సత్రం కట్టించి మద్యాహ్న  భోజనం  వండించి   పెట్టేవాడు  . 

ఒక  రోజు  యధావిధిగా   భోజనం   వండించే  ఏర్పాట్లు  చేస్తున్నాడు  .  అదే  సమయం  లో   ఆకాశం  లో  ఎగురుతున్న  ఒక  గద్ద  కాళ్ళతో  పట్టుకున్న  పాము  నోటినుండి  విషం....  వడ్డించడానికి  సిద్ధంగా  ఉన్న   అన్నం  బేసిన్  లో  పడింది  .  అది  ఎవరూ  గమనించలేదు 

ఆభాగం  ఒక  బాటసారి  తిన్నాడు .  అది   తినడం  వలన    అతడు  చనిపోయాడు .  ఈ  వార్త  రాజుగారికి  చేరింది   .   ఆయన  చాలా   దుఃఖించాడు .   మేలు  చెయ్యబోతే   ఇలా  కీడు  జరిగింది  అని  ఆయన   చింతించాడు .

*ఇప్పుడు  బాటసారి  చనిపోవడానికి   కారణం  ఎవరు ?*

ఆ రాజా ?   వంటవాడా ?    పామా ?  గద్దా  ? వడ్డించిన  వ్యక్తా ? 

రాజు చేసేది ధర్మ కార్యం

అతనిది తప్పులేదు.

గ్రద్దకు పాము ఆహారం

దాని తప్పు లేదు.

 పాముది మరణ బాధ  

కొట్టుకుంటోంది, దాని తప్పులేదు

వడ్డించే వాడికి విషయం తెలీదు, అతని పని అతను చేస్తున్నాడు ,అతని తప్పూ లేదు. 

 మరి ఈ  పాపాన్ని  ఎవరి  ఖాతాలో  వెయ్యాలి ? 

వీరిలో  ఎవరూ   కావాలని  ఆ  బాటసారి ని   చంపలేదు .

యమ ధర్మరాజును  చిత్ర గుప్తుడు అడిగాడు. 

యమధర్మరాజు కు ఏమి చెప్పాలో అర్థం కాక అది అలా ఉంచు బాగా ఆలోచించి చెపుతాను అన్నాడు.

 

ఇది  ఇలా  ఉంటే  కొన్ని రోజుల తర్వాత    దారినే  పోతున్న  బాటసారులు  కొందరు   రాజుగారు  బాటసారుల కు అన్నదానం    చేసే సత్రం  ఎక్కడో  చెప్పమని  ఒక  వనితను  చిరునామా  అడిగారు . 

ఆమె  వారికి  దారిని  చూపుతూ  

“  బాబూ !   జాగ్రత్త  మా  రాజు  గారికి బాటసారులు  అంటే   పడదు ,  కొద్ది రోజుల క్రితమే  ఒకాయనను  విషం  పెట్టి  చంపేశారు”     మీ  రోజులు  బాగున్నాయో   లేదో  ?   చూసుకొని జాగ్రత్తగా వెళ్ళండి అంది  .

వెంటనే యమధర్మరాజు  

“ చిత్రగుప్తా !    మొత్తం  పాపం  అంతా  ఈమె   ఖాతాలో  వెయ్యి అన్నాడు.

 సదుద్దేశ్యంతో  ధర్మ కార్యాలను చేసేటప్పుడు

యాదృచ్చికంగా    జరిగే   పనులకు , తప్పు ఎవరిదో తెలీకుండా నిందలను ఆపాదిస్తూ,  వ్యక్తులను  నిందించే  వారికే   ఆ  మొత్తం  కర్మ  ఫలం  కలుగుతుంది  అని  ధర్మరాజు .”  అన్నారు.

 

*కాబట్టి  విషయం సవివరంగా తెలియనప్పుడు ఎవరిమీద  మనం  నిందారోపణలు చేస్తే ఆపాపం మనకే వస్తుంది.తస్మాత్ జాగ్రత్త*🙏🏻.

ఒక వ్యక్తి రాత్రి పడుకునే ముందు తన రీడింగ్ టేబుల్ పై తల పెట్టి అలా కూర్చుని నిద్ర పోతున్నాడు. అప్పుడు అతని భార్య అతన్ని లేపి మంచం మీద పడుకోమని చెప్పాలని వచ్చింది. అప్పుడు ఆమె దృష్టి అతని చేతిలో పెన్నుపై  అతని ముందున్న రైటింగ్ పాడ్ పై పడింది. దానిమీద ఏదో రాసి వుంది. ఆమె తన భర్తను కదిలించకుండా ఆయన రాసినదాన్ని నిశ్శబ్దంగా చదవసాగింది..

అందులో ఇలా వుంది

గత ఏడాది నాకు సర్జరీ జరిగి గాల్ బ్లాడర్ తొలగించారు. మూడు నెలలు మంచం మీదే గడపాల్సి వచ్చింది

ఈ ఏడాదే నాకు 60 ఏళ్లు నిండి నాకెంతో ప్రియమైన ఉద్యోగం రిటైర్ అయ్యాను. నేను ముప్ఫై ఏళ్లు ఈ కంపెనీలో రాత్రనక పగలనక కష్టపడి పని చేసి కంపెనీ అభివృద్ధిలో పాలు పంచుకున్నాను...ఆ కంపెనీ తో నాకెంతో అనుబంధం ఉంది.దానితో ఇక ఋణం తీరిపోయింది 

ఈ ఏడాదే మా నాన్నగారి మరణం నా జీవితంలో విషాదం నింపింది

ఈ ఏడాదే నా కొడుకు కారు ప్రమాదం వల్ల మంచం పట్టి మెడికల్ ఎగ్జామ్ ఫెయిల్ అయ్యాడు, ఎన్నాళ్లుగానో నాకు సేవ చేసిన నా ప్రియమైన కారు ఎందుకూ పనికిరాకుండా పోయింది

దేవుడా! ఈ ఏడాదిలో ఎన్ని భయంకరమైన అనుభవాలు ఇచ్చావు!!

చివరి వరకూ చదివిన ఆమె నిశ్శబ్దంగా ఆ రైటింగ్ పాడ్ ను తీసుకుని బయటకు నడిచింది. కాసేపటి తర్వాత ఆమె వచ్చి పాడ్ ను అక్కడేపెట్టి వెళ్ళిపోయింది.

ఆయనకి మెలుకువ వచ్చింది.  తన చేతిలో పెన్ను, టేబుల్ మీద రైటింగ్ పాడ్ చూసుకున్నాడు. దానిమీద తను రాసింది కాకుండా ఇంకేదో రాసి వుండటం గమనించి చదవడం ప్రారంభించాడు

అందులో ఇలావుంది

గత ఏడాది నాకు గాల్ బ్లాడర్ సర్జరీ జరిగింది. చాలా కాలంగా నన్ను వేధించిన కడుపు నొప్పి నుంచి శాశ్వతంగా ఉపశమనం లభించింది

ఈ ఏడాదిలోనే నాకు అరవై ఏళ్లు నిండాయి. సంపూర్ణ ఆరోగ్యం తో నేను రిటైర్ అయినందుకు ఆనందంగా ఉంది. ఇక నా పూర్తి సమయాన్ని నా కుటుంబంతో సంతోషంగా ప్రశాంతంగా  గడుపుతాను

ఈ ఏడాదిలోనే మా నాన్నగారు 95 ఏళ్ళ వయసులో ఎవరితోనూ చేయించుకోకుండానే ఎలాంటి ఇబ్బందీ లేకుండానే  ప్రశాంతంగా సహజమరణం చెందారు

ఈ ఏడాది నా కొడుక్కి పునర్జన్మనిచ్చింది. కారు ప్రమాదంలో కారు నుజ్జునుజ్జైనా నా కొడుకు ప్రాణాలతో బైటపడ్డాడు, కార్ కి వచ్చిన ఇన్సూరెన్స్ డబ్బులతో మరో కొత్త కారు కొనుక్కున్నాను

హే భగవాన్! ఈ ఏడాది ఎంత సంతోషాన్ని మిగిల్చావు!! ఈ ఏడాదిని ఎంత అద్భుతంగా ముగించావు!!!"

అంతా చదివిన ఆయన చుట్టూ ఓసారి చూసాడు. కర్టెన్ వెనకాల తన భార్య నీడను గమనించి జరిగింది అర్థం చేసుకున్నాడు. తన భార్యను మనసులోనే అభినందించుకున్నాడు....

ఎంతో ప్రోత్సాహ భరితంగా ఉన్న ఆ వాక్యాలు చదివిన ఆయన భగవంతునికి తన కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలుపుకుంటూ సంతృప్తిగా నిట్టూర్చాడు.

చాలావరకూ సమస్యలు మన ఆలోచనా దృక్పథం నుంచి ఉద్భవించేవే.. మన ఆలోచనా దృక్పథం #పాజిటివ్ గా ఉంటే ఎంతటి సమస్య ఐనా దూదిపింజెలా తేలికైపోతుంది,ఫలితం అనుకూలంగా ఉంటుంది. కానీ #నెగటివ్ ఆలోచనలు చిన్న సమస్యను కూడా బూతద్దంలో చూపించి మనశ్శాంతిని దూరం చేస్తాయి.

ఆనందమయమైన జీవితం కోసం #పాజిటివ్ గా ఆలోచించడం అలవర్చుకోండి..........✍️🙏

Pig analogy

 ఒక వ్యక్తి తన పందితో పడవలో ప్రయాణిస్తున్నాడు.

ఆ పడవలో ఇతర ప్రయాణీకులతో పాటు ఒక తత్వవేత్త కూడా ఉన్నాడు.

పంది ఇంతకు ముందు పడవలో ఎప్పుడూ ప్రయాణించలేదు, కాబట్టి దానికి ఆ ప్రయాణం సుఖంగా లేదు. అందువల్ల అది ఎవరినీ శాంతంగా కూర్చోనివ్వకుండా అటూ ఇటూ తిరుగుతూ ఇబ్బంది పెడుతోంది.

దీనితో బోట్ నడిపేవాడు ఇబ్బంది పడుతున్నాడు.  ఈ పంది వల్ల ,ప్రయాణికుల భయం కారణంగా పడవ మునిగిపోతుందేమో అని ఆందోళన చెందుతున్నాడు.

పంది కానీ శాంతించకపోతే అది పడవని 

మునిగిపోయే ప్రమాదంలోకి నెట్టేస్తుంది.

ఆ పందిని తెచ్చిన మనిషి పడవలో ఉన్న ఈ పరిస్థితి గురించి కలత చెందుతున్నాడు.  కాని తన పందిని శాంతింపచేయడానికి ఏం చెయ్యాలో పాలుపోవడం లేదు.

వాళ్లలో ఉన్న తత్వవేత్త ఇవన్నీ చూసి సహాయం చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు.

 "మీరు అనుమతిస్తే, నేను ఈ పందిని ఇంటి పిల్లిలా నిశ్శబ్దంగా చేయగలను." అని ఆ పంది యజమానితో ఆ తత్వవేత్త చెప్పాడు. 

ఆ వ్యక్తి వెంటనే అంగీకరించాడు.

తత్వవేత్త, ఇద్దరు ప్రయాణీకుల సహాయంతో పందిని ఎత్తుకొని నదిలోకి విసిరాడు.

ఆ పంది నీటిలో తేలుతూ ఉండటానికి ఈత కొట్టడం ప్రారంభించింది. దానికి ఇప్పుడు ఈత కొట్టకపోతే చచ్చిపోతాను అని తెలిసి దాని ప్రాణం నిలుపుకోవడం కోసం కష్టపడడం మొదలుపెట్టింది.

కొంత సమయం తరువాత, తత్వవేత్త పందిని తిరిగి పడవలోకి లాగాడు.

పంది వెళ్లి పడవలో ఒక మూల నిశ్శబ్దంగా కూర్చుంది.

పంది యొక్క మారిన ప్రవర్తనను చూసి దాని యజమాని మరియు ఇతర ప్రయాణీకులందరూ ఆశ్చర్యపోయారు.

ఆ వ్యక్తి తత్వవేత్తను అడిగాడు: "మొదట అది అటూ ఇటూ దూకుతోంది. ఇప్పుడు అది పెంపుడు పిల్లిలా కూర్చుంది. ఎందుకు? కారణం ఏమిటి అని అడిగాడు.

తత్వవేత్త ఇలా అన్నాడు: "అదే తరహా ఇబ్బందిని అనుభవించకుండా మరొకరి కష్టాన్ని ఎవరూ సరిగా అర్ధం చేసుకోలేరు. నేను ఈ పందిని నీటిలోకి విసిరినప్పుడు, అది నీటిలో పడితే  ప్రమాదాన్ని మరియు పడవ యొక్క ఉపయోగాన్ని అది అర్థం చేసుకుంది."

 *భారతదేశంలో అలాగే దేశం బాగోలేదు, వాక్ స్వతంత్రం లేదు, స్వేచ్ఛ లేదు, ప్రభుత్వం బాగా నడపడం లేదు అంటూ అటూ ఇటూ దూకుతున్న పందులను ఉత్తర కొరియా, ఆఫ్ఘనిస్తాన్, సోమాలియా, దక్షిణ సూడాన్, సిరియా,ఇరాన్, ఇరాక్ లేదా పాకిస్తాన్ లేదా చైనాలో 6 నెలలు విసిరివేయాలి. తరువాత వారు భారతదేశానికి తిరిగి వచ్చినప్పుడు వారు ఆటోమాటిక్ గా పెంపుడు పిల్లిలా ప్రశాంతంగా జీవించడం నేర్చుకొని ఒక మూల కూర్చొని వుంటారు* .

*ఆవులను మేపడానికి వచ్చే గొల్లవాడికన్నా ఆర్తితో దైవానుగ్రహం కోసం ఏడ్చే పిల్లవాడే ముఖ్యం కనుక ఆ పిల్ల వాడినే చూసుకుంది. మరి గొల్లవాడు అమ్మ అన్నం పెట్టక పోవడం వలన  తన విధిని నిలిపి వేసాడా.లేదు.అమ్మ ద్వారా తన పనిలో భాగమైన శిష్ట రక్షణను చేసుకున్నాడు.*

Harsh Treatment of others - Spiritual Revelation

Question: You have told us that Prabhupada said that one of the three things we can pray for unconditionally is friendship with devotees. What is the value of that friendship if those people hurt and disappoint us? Then also when the time of death comes, guru and Krsna are our only shelter, we cannot have any other attachments even to friends isn’t it?

Jayapataka Swami: I don’t know that I said that these are the only three things you can pray for, and one of them is having devotee friends. We should be friendly and respectful to devotees. We shouldn’t commit offences to devotees because those offences are like mad elephants, they can ruin our devotional garden. So Lord Caitanya told us we should offer respect to others and don’t expect any respect for ourselves. So it seems like you are expecting that your so called devotee friends will gratify your ego and if they don’t do that, you reject them. This is what Lord Caitanya advises us we should not do. We should offer respect to everybody – amani mana dena-but we should not expect any respect for ourselves and then you will never be let down. Ha! So some people don’t like me in devotional service, they criticize me and so on, but I don’t feel bad about them, I don’t get preoccupied; rather I wish them all success in their spiritual life. So I want to please guru and Krsna and their opinion is what is important to me. Someone may like or may not like me, but I wish well for everybody. So Lord Nityananda, He was hit on the head by Madai, blood was flowing. He said that ‘just because you have caused Me to bleed, does that mean I won’t give you love of Godhead?’ So what to speak of someone who makes some unfavorable comments on us. Nitai was hit on the head and bleeding and still He gave love of Godhead! He pleaded for Madai! Such is the mercy of Lord Nitai Gaur. If someone is treating us harshly, that is to remind us that this material world is not a good place to stay so we thank them. If everybody was nice to us, then we may think that this material world was a nice world. Thank you for giving us firsthand understanding that this world stinks! and we want to be in a place of pure love of Krsna. Now most devotees should be on that platform. Srila Prabhupada said that Krsna consciousness is like a hospital. In a hospital you have doctors, nurses and sick people, lot of sick patients. In the Krsna consciousness movement some people are sick and they are treated by doctors and nurses. So we don’t expect everybody to be healthy and some people are still sick. And the guru is like a doctor, senior devotees are like doctors, interns, and they are all working to deliver people. Some people will be of very good association, so we should try to take that association. Some people may not be of such good association, so we are friendly, but we may not associate with them.
