Do we need Epidemic to remind us about our Roots?

I took this pic this evening(25th March 2020). Do you observe anything?
You can observe 4 elders and 2 kids with out a phone. it's very strange these days.
it was a very common scene in India around 10 years back. but now it's a very rare scene. We can see people spending time with one another (another strange thing) and with family too. Husbands giving time to wives , parents giving time to kids, whole family is talking to elderly grand parents. These all were common scenes back in 20 or 15 years back. But what happened to us. We are unnecessarily busy. I can see big big messages saying our Indian Culture is best , we used to wash hands and follow Madi before now everyone is doing the same. But the basic Indian Culture was "Simple Living , High Thinking". do we need Epidemics like Corona to remind us to live simply? Think about it.

7 Promises by Lord Sri Krishna

1. Sri Krishna promises: “Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me in the form of Krishna and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt.” (8.7)
2. Sri Krishna promises: “Engage your mind always in thinking of Me, become My devotee, offer obeisances to Me, and worship Me. Being completely absorbed in Me, surely you will come to Me.” (9.34)
3. Sri Krishna promises: “To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.” (10.10)
4. Sri Krishna promises: “My dear Arjuna, he who engages in My pure devotional service, free from the contaminations of fruitive activities and mental speculation, he who works for Me, who makes Me the supreme goal of his life, and who is friendly to every living being—he certainly comes to Me.” (11.55)
5. Sri Krishna promises: “Just fix your mind on Me, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and engage all your intelligence in Me. Thus you will live in Me always, without a doubt.” (12.8)
6. Sri Krishna promises: “Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me, and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend.” (18.65)
7. Sri Krishna promises: “Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reactions. Do not fear."

నేను పుట్టీపుట్టగానే నన్ను నా తల్లి వదిలేసింది..

అశాస్త్రీయమైన జన్మను పొందడం అనేది నా తప్పా..కాదే..

ద్రోణాచార్యులు నాకు విద్య నేర్పేటందుకు నిరాకరించారు..ఎందుకంటే నేను క్షత్రియుని కాను అన్న కారణంతో..

పరశురాముడు నాకు విద్యనైతే నేర్పారు కానీ నేను క్షత్రియుడిగా గుర్తింపబడేవరకూ ఆ విద్యనంతా మరిచిపోయేలా నాకు శాపం పెట్టారు..

పొరపాటున నా బాణం ఒక ఆవుకి తగిలితే ఆ ఆవు యజమాని నా తప్పు లేకున్నా నన్ను నిందించారు..

ద్రౌపదీ స్వయంవరంలో నాకు పరాభవం జరిగింది..

ఈనాడు కుంతీమాత వచ్చి నేను తన పుత్రుడిని అని నాకు నిజం చెప్పటం వెనకనున్న కారణం కేవలం ఆవిడ తన వేరే పుత్రులను కాపాడుకోవటం కోసమే..

నేనంటూ ఏదన్నా పొందాను అంటే అది దుర్యోధనుని దయాధర్మం వల్లనే..

అలాంటప్పుడు నేను దుర్యోధనుని పక్షాన ఉండటం తప్పెలా అవుతుంది అని చెప్పాడు కర్ణుడు...

దానికి కృష్ణుడు సమాధానంగా కర్ణునికి చెప్పాడు...

నేను పుట్టటమే కారాగారంలో పుట్టాను..

నేను పుట్టటం కంటే ముందే నా చావు నాకోసం కాచుకుని కూర్చుంది..

నేను పుట్టిన రాత్రే నా కన్న తల్లితండ్రి నుండీ వేరుచేయబడ్డాను..

చిన్నతనంలో నువ్వు కత్తులు , రధాలు, బాణాలు, గుర్రాలు ఇలాంటి శబ్దాల మధ్య పెరిగావు..

నేను గోశాలలో పేడ వాసనల మధ్యన ఉన్నాను...

నా చిన్నతనంలో నన్ను చంపేందుకు నా పైన ఎన్నో దాడులు జరిగాయి..అప్పటికి నాకు నడిచే వయసు కూడా రాలేదు..కానీ ఎన్నో దాడులు ఎదుర్కున్నాను..

నాచుట్టూ ఉన్న వారు వారి సమస్యలకు నేనే కారణం అని నన్ను నిందించేవారు కూడా..

నాకు సైన్యమూ లేదు, విద్య కూడా లేదు..

మీరందరూ మీ విద్యాభ్యాసం పూర్తి చేసుకుని మీ ప్రతిభలకు మీ గురువుల నుంచీ అభినందనలు పొందే వయసుకి నేను విద్య నేర్చుకునేందుకు నోచుకోలేదు కూడానూ..

సాందీపుని రుషి వద్ద నా పదహారో ఏట నా చదువు ప్రారంభం అయ్యింది..

నువ్వు నీకు ఇష్టమైన అమ్మాయిని వివాహం చేసుకోగలిగావు..

నేను నాకిష్టమైన అమ్మాయిని చేసుకోలేకపోయాను..పైగా నన్ను వివాహం చేసుకున్నవారు..వారు నన్ను కోరుకుని కొందరూ, నేను రాక్షసుల నుండీ కాపాడబడినవారు కొందరూనూ..

జరాసంధుని బారి నుంచీ కాపాడుకోవటానికి నా గోకులాన్నంతా నేను యమునవడ్డునుంచీ దూరంగా తీసుకెళ్ళాల్సివచ్చింది..

అప్పుడు పిరికివాడుగా పారిపోయానన్న చెడ్డపేరు నాకొచ్చింది..

సరే ఇంతకీ దుర్యోధనుడు ఈ యుద్ధం గెలిచాడే అనుకో నీకు మంచిపేరు వస్తుంది...

అదే ధర్మరాజు గెలిస్తే నాకేమీ రాదు...పైగా ఈ యుద్ధం మరియు యుద్ధానికి సంబంధించిన సమస్యలకూ నేనే కారణం అన్న నింద వేస్తారు అందరూ నాపైన...

ఒకటి గుర్తుంచుకో కర్ణా..

జీవితంలో సమస్యలు, సవాళ్ళు అందరికీ ఉంటాయి..

జీవితం ఏ ఒక్కరికీ పూలబాట కాదు..అన్నివేళలా అంతా సవ్యంగానే ఉండదు..

దుర్యోధనుడు అవనీ యుధిష్టరుడు అవనీ అందరూ జీవితపు దెబ్బలు రుచి చూసినవారే..

ఏది సరైనదో ఏది ధర్మమో నీ మనసుకి నీ బుద్ధికి తెలుసు..

మనకు ఎంత అన్యాయం జరిగినా..

మనకు ఎన్ని పరాభవాలు జరిగిన..

మనకు రావల్సినది మనకు అందకపోయినా...

మనం ఆయా సమయాల్లో ఎలా ప్రవర్తిస్తామో అదే మన వ్యక్తిత్వం...అదే చాలా ముఖ్యమైనది..

జీవితం ఆటుపోట్లు భరించామనో, మనకు చెడు అనుభవాలు ఎదురయ్యాయనో..అనే కారణాలు మనకు అధర్మమార్గంలో ప్రయాణించేందుకు అనుమతిగా (licence ) అనుకోకూడదు..మనం బాధపడ్డామని జీవితాన్ని చెడు మార్గంలోకి నడిపించకూడదు...ఏ పరిస్థితుల్లో అయినా ధర్మాన్ని వదులుకోకూడదు..అని కర్ణునికి కృష్ణుడు బోధించాడు..

Senior Citizens' DAY

Today it is  Senior Citizens' DAY. On this occasion we send Heartiest Greetings to all Seniors Citizens, & good wishes for active, healthy life ahead. 

The senior citizens may please note & seriously  follow  the undernoted cautionary advice. 

*A study in  the United States shows  That over 51% of Older people fall down  while climbing stairs. 

Every year, many Americans are killed by falling while climbing stairs.*

*Experts Reminder:* 

*After 60 years, these 10 actions should be avoided:*

*1. Do Not climb stairs.*

*If you must climb, Hold on firmly to Stair-case railings.*

*2. Do not rapidly twist your head.* 

*Warm up your whole body first.*

*3.  Do not bend your body to touch your toe.🤸‍♂ Warm up your whole body first.*

*4. Do not stand to wear your trousers. Wear your Pants while sitting down*

*5.  Do not sit up when lying face up. Sit up from one side (left hand side, or right hand side) of your body.*

*6. Do not twist your body before exercise. Warm up whole first.*

*7. Do not walk backwards.*

*Falling backwards can result in serious injury.* 

*8. Do not bend waist to lift Heavy weight. Bend your knees & Lift up Heavy object while half squatting.‍♀*

*9. Do not get up fast from bed. Wait a few minutes before getting up from bed.*

*10. Do not over use force in the washroom. Let it come naturally.*

One more important thing is that you must be active always and think positive. 

 LIfe has started now after all the years of hard work. 

Now it's time to enjoy life, take it easy and smell the roses.

I got this message in another group and was thinking what old age can do to us. I was meditating on each sentence and feeling the curse of getting this material body. 

Prabhujis and Matajis, lets do our best and most service while we are young and active, to lord Krishna. Because in old age we cannot do anything.

I was also thinking how Srila Prabhupada in the age of 70 left India for all of us and took soo much risk every single day.

Always remember these two lines from Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita

 _Janma Mrutyu Jara Vyadi Dukha Doshanu Darshanu _ 

 _Dukhalayam Ashasvatam_

If we remember these two lines we will not fall into the illusion that this material body and material world is for our enjoyment. Who ever will try to enjoy this will suffer.

TRUE STORY

*Many years ago, on a Festival Day, a very Rich Man who had no wife, no children, no other family members, decided to invite all the employees of his Mansion to dinner.*

*He called the staff and asked them to sit at the table.*

*In front of everyone there was a BhagavadGeeta and a small sum of MONEY.*

*After everyone had their dinner, the Rich Man asked:*

*"What would you prefer to receive as a gift: this Geethaa or this MONEY?*

*Do not be shy, you can choose what you want. "*

*THE SECURITY GUARD WAS THE FIRST TO REACT:*

*"Sir, I would love to receive the Geeta, but since I have not learned to read, the money will be more useful to me."*

*THE GARDENER WAS THE SECOND TO SPEAK:*

*"Sir, my wife is very sick and that's why I need more money, otherwise I would choose the Bhagavadgeeta for sure!"*

*THE THIRD WAS THE COOK:*

*"Sir, I like reading to tell the truth, it's one of the things I like to do, but I work so hard that I never find time to flip through a magazine, let alone the Bhagavadgeeta. I will take the money. "*

*IN THE END, IT WAS THE turn OF THE BOY WHO TAKES CARE OF THE ANIMALS OF THE MANSION.*

*And as the Rich Gentleman of the villa knew that the boy's family was very poor, he stepped forward and said:*

*"Surely you too want the money, do you not?  So that  you can buy food to have a good dinner at home and buy new shoes? "*

as for him, surprised everybody with his answer:

*"It would not hurt to buy  tasty food to share with my parents and siblings. I also need a pair of new shoes because mine are very old. Even so, I will choose the Bhagavadgeeta because  I have always wanted one. My mother taught me that the Word of God is worth more than gold and that it is more tasty than a honeycomb."*

*After receiving the Bhagavadgeeta, the boy immediately opened it.  He found TWO ENVELOPES inside.*

*In the first, there was a CHEQUE  that was 10 TIMES  higher than the money on the table.*

*In the second, there was a DOCUMENT (Will)  that made him (whoever would choose the Bhagavadgeeta), the HEIR to all the wealth of the Rich Man!*

*Faced with the Boy's emotion and the astonishment of the other servants, the Rich Gentleman opened one of  the Bhagavadgeeta and read aloud so that everyone could hear:*

*The law of the LORD is perfect, it restores the soul;*

*The testimony of the Lord is true, he makes wise the ignorant.*

*The ordinances of the LORD are righteous, they rejoice the heart;*

*The commandments of the Lord are pure, they light up the eyes.*

*The fear of the Lord is pure, it subsists forever;*

*The judgments of the Lord are true, they are all just.*

  *They are more precious than gold, than a lot of fine gold; They are sweeter than honey, than the one that pours rays.*

*May God give us Wisdom and help us always to make the Right Choice.*
